Waitlist privacy notice
This notice covers only the node & noise launch waitlist on nodeandnoise.com. Node & Noise (“we”, “us”) runs it. The store's full privacy policy will be published when the store opens.
What we collect
- The email address you enter.
- That you asked for the launch email (by joining the waitlist).
- When you signed up, and which version of the sign-up wording you agreed to.
- A scrambled code made from your IP address (a keyed one-way hash). We use it only to stop spam and automated sign-ups. We don't store the IP address itself.
- A short tag for where the sign-up came from, for example a link from our Instagram.
What we use it for
- One confirmation email right after you sign up.
- One email when the store opens on Friday 13 November 2026.
- Keeping the waitlist free of spam and abuse.
We email you once when we open, and nothing else. We don't use your email address for anything else, we don't sell it, and we don't share it for advertising.
If you are in the EU or the UK: we rely on your consent (joining the waitlist). You can withdraw it at any time, as described below.
Who handles it for us
- Vercel hosts this page and the sign-up form, and keeps short-term server logs.
- Neon hosts the database that stores the waitlist.
- Google (Google Workspace) sends our emails from hello@nodeandnoise.com.
They handle the data on our behalf, under their own terms. Their servers may be in the United States or other countries.
Cookies and trackers
This page sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device and uses no analytics or advertising trackers.
How long we keep it
- We keep your email address until you unsubscribe.
- After the confirmation, the launch email is the only email you get from us.
- The spam-check counters made from the scrambled IP code are deleted after a few days.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe: reply “unsubscribe” to any of our emails, use the unsubscribe option in your mail app, or write to hello@nodeandnoise.com from that address. We then stop emailing you and take your address off the waitlist.
- See or correct what we hold: write to hello@nodeandnoise.com.
Depending on where you live (for example California, the EU or the UK), the law may give you further rights over your data. We will honour them. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Changes
If we change this notice, we will update the date at the top. We won't use your email address in a new way without asking you first.
